Year 5 Assembly

Well done Year 5's on a fantastic assembly!!!

The dance moves were awesome and in sync. Gabe did a fantastic job with a grey beard, but needs some help reciting those planets in order.

Below are some photos that I took of all the groups after the performance.

Once again, congratulations to all students for getting up there and giving it their all.

Term 3, Week 9

Welcome to week 9. Two weeks to go!!!

Exercise books:
As we work extremely hard in Year 5 the exercise books are beginning to fill up. Could I please ask that your child brings in a couple of extra exercise books to get us through to the end of the year?

Assembly:
This Friday is our Year 5 performance assembly. The students have been practicing 4 educational songs that we have listened to throughout the year. They have been split up into 4 groups of 7 and have choreographed the dances themselves.
They have organised what they are going to wear and what props they need.
Could you please make sure they have their costumes in the class on Wednesday for a full dress rehearsal.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

Athletics Carnival:
Please note that this has been rescheduled from Thursday this week to Tuesday of next week 24th September. This is due to the inclement weather that has been forecast and the fact that the oval will be sodden and the wind will be fierce!

This is the schedule for the learning journeys that will be happening next Monday 23rd September.

Our Learning:
In science this term we have been looking at the solar system. Last week we looked at the terrestrial plants (rocky planets). These are the four closets planets to the sun.
In partners they had to create a poster about the planetary conditions on their chosen planet which was either Mercury, Venus, Earth or Mars.
Below are a couple of examples that were created.
