ANZAC Day

ANZAC Day Reflections 2015

This week in Purple Room we have been reflecting on the 100 year anniversary of the ANZAC landing at Anzac Cove in Gallipoli.

This has created some wonderful discussion in the classroom. The characteristics of courage, bravery, mate-ship and loyalty that define 'The ANZAC Spirit' have been the focal point for our conversations this week.

The discussion and the work that has been produced has been done so with great maturity from all students.

Today we looked at the symbols of ANZAC Day and discussed how they are significant.

Below are a few pieces of art work produced this afternoon by our year 5 class on some of the symbols of ANZAC Day.
