Term 2, Week 1

Hello everyone and welcome back to Term 2.

I hope everyone enjoyed their break. If you didn’t have your head under a rock over the past two weeks, you would have seen the mighty Fremantle Dockers win 2 games in row and currently sit second on the ladder. There is a loooonnnngg way to go in terms of the season’s length, but it feels good to see the boys standing up!!

Casuals for Catholic Day:
This Friday will be a free dress day for a gold coin donation. All money raised goes to support families and people in need in our local community.

The motto for this year’s day is "People helping People".

iPad Updates:
This year the students will be completing NAPLAN online, so it is vitally important that all iPads are updated to latest iOS (12.2). If you are having any issues with updating to this iOS please come in and see my or send me an email and we’ll sort it out.

Homework:

For those students that are still struggling to understand what the activities for spelling are, there is a success criteria on their Onenote.

Monday 8 April 2019

Good evening everyone,

One more week to go. On the weekend, the Fremantle Dockers had another win. Good feeling being 3rd on the ladder. A very very long season ahead of us though. Across the bridge the Eagles had a massive win against Magpies. Next weekend is the derby, I am very glad that it is the holidays as I think that it could be a hard day for Freo fans.

Holy Week Celebrations:
This week we will continue Holy Week celebrations.  Holy Week is a very important time in the Catholic faith as we remember and celebrate the events leading up to Jesus' death and resurrection.
On Thursday morning, the Year 5 students will be presenting Holy Thursday.

Easter egg Raffle
Please make sure that you have brought in your donation for the raffle which will be held on Friday. Your child has been given their raffle tickets. If you would like to be in the raffle, please return one half of the tickets with your family name clearly written on each ticket and $5.
All money raised during this time is donated to Project Compassion.

Term 1, Week 9

Good afternoon everyone,
The footy world has seemed to restore itself after the Dockers put on absolute beautiful display on the Gold Coast. It was very tough watching.

HARMONY DAY
A massive thanks to everyone who contributed to the shared morning tea. There was so much food to choose from and the kids (and myself) enjoyed everything that was on offer. Attached are a couple of reflections that the students wrote on Friday afternoon.

PARENT INTERVIEWS
Thank you to all the parents who have written their name in a suitable time slot. A reminder that the interviews are being held in Week 10.

OUR LEARNING
Below are some pictures related you current HASS unit on Australia Democracy. The students have been really engaged in this unit and hopefully they have bought some of the conversation home.
