Term 3, Week 4

Welcome to week 4 everyone,

As you can imagine, much of this morning’s conversation was surrounding the incident that happened in yesterday’s derby. We had a solid discussion about how brain fades can have massive consequences.

Novel Study:
This semester the Year 5’s will be looking at the Novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I have sent home the small slip of paper that is attached below. Some students are yet to download this. Could you please download this! If you need help, please let me know.

Musical Meeting:
Good afternoon parents,

We will be holding a Parent Help Meeting for our production 'The Jungle Book' on Wednesday 8th August beginning at 3.05pm. We will meet in Year 6 and we expect the meeting to last for approximately half an hour.

The Production is held over two nights Thursday 13th and Friday 14th September. As we know many hands make light work and we would like to involve as many willing helpers as possible...even if you can only help for an hour or two!

We are in need of assistance in the following areas:
  • Make Up
  • Costumes (dressing)
  • Hair
  • Supper - ideally this is a Year 5 and a Year 6 parent/s
  • Set Dressing
  • Anything
If you would like to help but are unable to make the meeting, please let Mr Jones or Mr Danaher know via email and we will add your name to the list.
Many thanks for your ongoing support,

Mrs Horrocks

Mission Markets:
This note will be going home this afternoon in relation to the OLC Mission Markets next Tuesday.

On Wednesday 15th August, we will be holding our Annual Mission Markets beginning at 11.45am. The Year 5 stall item this year is Coin Toss!

Can we please ask that all Year 5 families provide a block of chocolate and some small chocolate bars for prizes at our stall?  If you can please have these in by Friday 10th August, I would be most appreciative.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your support.

Kindest regards,
Ben Danaher
